STORIES LANDSCAPE
At the end of 2019 we received a support from the Small Grants Program (PPD) of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in México and also from GEF. Since then, Claudia Novelo Alpuche, coordinator of the creative communication studio called La Península (based in Mérida) and collaborator of SOM Editorial Colectiva, has been in charge of developing the communication strategy of PPD and also of coordinating the project Paisaje de Historias in the Mexican states of Campeche, Yucatán, Quintana Roo, Chiapas and Tabasco. The purpose of this project was the implementation and the consolidation of a network to train young communicators that from their visions, their personal experience and their knowledge of the territory where they inhabit should learn how to communicate the benefits of the environmental and community projects supported by PPD that are being developed in their regions. This complete training has offered journalistic, photography, video editing and social net management workshops. Each participant was given an audiovisual kit to write the notes for the monthly bulletin and to produce short films about their own landscape.
